What to eat in Doha
Karak anchors the day here, strong tea boiled with evaporated milk and cardamom, sold for a couple of riyals from roadside stands where people order without leaving the car. Malls and museums post dress-code signs asking for covered shoulders and knees, and they are enforced. During Ramadan, eating or drinking in public in daylight is a legal offence, not a faux pas. The weekend is Friday and Saturday.
