Palm Springs Art Museum shuts Monday through Wednesday entirely and stays open until eight on Thursdays. Its Architecture and Design Center occupies E. Stewart Williams's 1961 bank building on South Palm Canyon, and the 1931 Aluminaire House, an experimental metal prototype, was reassembled on the museum grounds. The Air Museum keeps flyable Second World War aircraft, and the Agua Caliente Cultural Plaza sits over the original mineral spring.
