The Capilla Real keeps Ferdinand and Isabella's lead coffins in the crypt below their marble effigies and bans photography outright; it is the one ticket people skip in Granada and later regret. Buy Alhambra tickets only from the official site; resellers add a premium and some cannot supply Nasrid Palace slots at all. Miss your slot by ten minutes and you are turned away. Never accept a sprig of rosemary pressed on you near the cathedral, because it comes with a demand for money. Sierra Nevada is forty-five minutes up the road, so winter evenings turn genuinely cold.
