Seville after dark
Nothing starts early. Dinner at ten is normal and bars fill after midnight, particularly along Calle Betis in Triana with the river and the cathedral opposite. The Real Alcazar at €15.50 is the essential ticket, its slots sell out days ahead in spring, and the same fee covers the Antiquarium and the Triana ceramics museum. The Cathedral's Giralda is climbed by ramp rather than stairs, built for a man on horseback. Plaza de Espana costs nothing and is the best free hour here. Metropol Parasol's walkway is optional.
Seville's museums, and which one to pick
The Museo de Bellas Artes, housed in a former convent, holds the Murillo and Zurbaran rooms and admits EU citizens free, so carry the passport. It closes Mondays. Casa de Pilatos mixes Mudejar tilework with Roman statuary and charges separately for the upper floor. The Archivo de Indias keeps the paperwork of the Spanish Americas and is free to enter.
