The government emporium being pitched to you is not government-run. A night out here means a rooftop in the old city facing floodlit Nahargarh, or a hotel bar along MI Road and Civil Lines. Chokhi Dhani, twenty kilometres south on Tonk Road, sells a staged village-fair evening with folk dance and thali.
