Kenrokuen's gravel paths take a pushchair and Kanazawa Castle Park's lawns take the running. The Loop Bus is a flat 220 yen, 110 for children, and reaches nearly everything, which removes the long walk from the station.
When the weather turns in Kanazawa
The local saying is that you may forget your lunch but never your umbrella; the Sea of Japan side gets rain or wet snow most winter days, and the city runs on covered arcades.
