The wet season runs November to April, arriving as afternoon downpours or occasionally as a cyclone that closes the airport outright. Wet options are thin and honest: the Sabeto mud pools and hot springs are better in rain than sun, the temple is roofed, and Port Denarau's mall and cinema swallow an afternoon.
