Evenings here happen on rented cabin porches, around fire pits, with whatever was bought before the stores shut. Downtown Blue Ridge empties by nine. The genuine outing is the Swan Drive-In on Summit Street, a 1955 single-screen still running double features from spring through autumn with car-radio sound.
