When the weather turns in Cinque Terre
Wet rock here is dangerous rather than merely unpleasant, and the park closes trails in rain, so hiking is off the table. Fall back on the train: La Spezia has covered arcades and museums, Levanto a longer seafront, and both are minutes away on the same card. Inside the villages themselves, expect a café and a church and very little more.
Cinque Terre's museums, and which one to pick
Almost nothing here is a museum, and hunting for one wastes a day. The Castello Doria at Riomaggiore and Vernazza's watchtower are small fortifications sold on their views rather than any collection.
