What to eat in Kraków

The Rynek Underground museum sits several metres below the main square on the excavated medieval market level and closes on the second Monday of each month. Schindler's Factory in Podgorze is about wartime Krakow rather than the film, and sells out early in the day. Kraków after dark
Kazimierz, the old Jewish quarter, does the drinking, between Plac Nowy's ring of bars, Alchemia's candlelit rooms and Singer with its sewing-machine tables. The Rynek's cellar clubs are crowded and expensive. Krakow has an unusual density of vaulted underground bars simply because the medieval cellars survived. Stag groups concentrate on the square, and prices halve ten minutes south of it.
