What to eat in Nice

Nice's museums, and which one to pick
Musee Matisse sits up in Cimiez among the Roman ruins of Cemenelum, costs 10 euros and closes Tuesdays; Matisse is buried in the cemetery beside it. The Musee Marc Chagall is a national museum with its own ticket, built around seventeen Biblical Message canvases. MAMAC covers Yves Klein and Niki de Saint Phalle. Nice after dark
Vieux Nice's bars are packed and legally quiet early, since noise rules push the lanes around Rue Bosio and Place Rossetti to wind down not long after midnight. The port district and Rue Bonaparte hold the later, more local crowd, and the Promenade beach clubs run summer sets. Trams stop before the bars do, so plan the walk home.
