Brisbane storms are a summer afternoon event rather than a lost day, arriving around four and finishing inside an hour. Howard Smith Wharves, tucked beneath the Story Bridge cliffs, is the polished riverside alternative and shuts earlier. Caxton Street fills hours before any Suncorp Stadium fixture.
